Indonesia’s food policy should be shifted from extensification and fragmented, production-focused approaches toward integrated, climate- and nutrition-sensitive, locally adapted intensification that improves productivity, resilience, and public health outcomes.

Bridging Policy Fragmentation: Aligning Indonesia’s Food Systems for Better Nutrition ​

Indonesia’s food and nutrition policies are currently characterised by fragmentation, with scope for improved coordination and alignment, requiring a shift toward integrated, community-anchored governancethat better coordinates existing policies and flagship programs to support coherent, food systems–based improvements in diets.
